Each student is permitted to submit only one proposal, with one designated guide allocated per project. Duplicate submissions are automatically disregarded. Accuracy in registration details is paramount, as modifications necessitate formal requests to program administration.

Proposals should refrain from including personal identifying information. Minor adjustments to aims, objectives, or methodology are acceptable, but significant alterations require approval from ethics committees. Reports lacking ethical approval are ineligible for consideration. Eligibility Criteria for STSH

Eligibility Criteria:

• Only Indian national students enrolled in recognized homeopathic medical colleges are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• The program is exclusively available for BHMS students before their final exams, excluding interns and postgraduate students.
• Research must be conducted within the student’s own medical college, under the guidance of a full-time faculty member employed at the institution. Note: Part-time consultants/visiting faculty/residents/Tutors/Pool officers/PG students cannot serve as research guides.

Application Process for STSH:

1. STSH applications are submitted via email; hard copies are not required.
2. Interested students must register and submit their proposals to the STSH Committee via email.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be announced on the CCRH website.
4. Selected students are required to complete their projects within 6 to 9 months and submit the final report to STSH for evaluation.
5. The guide assumes overall responsibility for project conduct and report submission within the specified timeframe.
6. Selection of candidates is based on technical evaluation by a panel of experts, with final decisions made by the Council only.

The Short Term Studentship (STSH) Program comprises four parts:

Student Details (Form Part-A):

• Interested students are required to register and submit their application/proposal along with their email address and other necessary details before the deadline. Duplicate registrations will lead to disqualification, and changes to student information will not be accepted at a later date.
• Students should provide their names in sentence cases without prefixes such as Mr./Ms. Complete postal addresses are essential for stipend delivery, and changes to addresses after registration will not be allowed. Contact telephone numbers/mobile numbers/email addresses should also be provided for effective communication.
• Upon registration, students will receive a Reference/Registration No. via email, which will be required for project submission.

Particulars of Guide (Form Part-B):

• Guides are required to provide complete details, including name, designation, department, medical college, and current email address.
• The guide should select a suitable brief topic for the studentship, ensuring it can be completed within the given time frame without requiring an extension. Each guide may forward the application of only one student each year for the STSH program.

Enclosures/Attachments (Form Part-C):

• Each STSH application and research proposal must be submitted along with a duly filled and attested Application Attestation Form (AAF).
• A passport-size photograph should be pasted on the form. Subsequently, the form must be signed by the Guide, attested, and forwarded by the Head of the Department and the Head of the Institution/Principal/Dean of the Medical College, with the stamp/seal of the institution.
• Once all signatures and attestations are obtained, the student must scan the form and save it as a PDF file. This PDF file must be uploaded at the time of submission.

Please note that only one application per student is permitted, and additional proposals will be automatically rejected. Other documents such as ethics committee approval, informed consent form, case study form, and study questionnaire may be submitted at the time of application or later before the commencement of the study or along with the final report are acceptable.

STSH Application/Proposal (Form Part-D):

The proposal should include the following sections:

1. Title (up to 25 words): Create a concise and accurate title that conveys the central objectives and variables of the study.
2. Introduction (up to 300 words): Provide the rationale behind the work to help reviewers understand and appreciate the objectives. Describe the significance of the study, defend the model, and specify gaps in existing knowledge or controversies. Support your discussion with appropriate references.
3. Objectives (up to 100 words): Specify the kind of knowledge the study aims to obtain. Objectives should be specific, achievable, and may include stated hypotheses.
4. Methodology (up to 800 words): Describe all procedures to achieve the objectives and justify the study design, including techniques and procedures. This may involve specifying the study type, study population, sample size, intervention (if applicable), data collection procedures, instruments used, quality control measures, confidentiality, plan of analysis/statistical tools, and ethical considerations.
5. Implications (up to 100 words): Describe the expected outcomes or gains from the research, either in terms of knowledge acquired by the student or scientific advancement.
6. References (up to 300 words): Provide appropriate references from recent journals or literature supporting the proposed research.

Ethical Considerations:

Research proposals involving human participants or animals require clearance from the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) or Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) respectively. Informed consent is mandatory for research involving human participants. Veterinarian/plant-based research doesn’t require such clearance.

Result Announcement:

Results of the selection process are typically announced between September to December of the respective year. Sanction letters are not issued individually; instead, students can access the results or selected candidates’ lists on the CCRH website. The Council’s decision regarding candidate selection is final, and requests for reconsideration are not entertained. The Council will offer a total scholarship amounting to Rs. 25,000/- (twenty-five thousand only) to the candidates who are selected for the program.
